The weather is getting warmer and the ticks are out in force. To keep the ticks off of Boo he had to get sprayed with a flea and tick spray. Boo really hates getting the spray on him mostly because it gives him a specific and identifiable scent. Dogs don't like to to be identified by their scent so that is why they roll in some of the most disgusting stuff because it hides their smell from other animals. Boo is going crazy running around the yard trying to roll off his scent in the grass.

Boo starts his modeling career
Boo gets his first shot at modeling. Amy was doing a project for her design class and it involved taking photos and cutting them into circular shapes and then putting a design on them with water and a wire whisk. Amy then had to fashion it into something you could wear and the item also had to be able to hold the wire whisk. As you can tell Amy made a cowboy hat that is holding the wire whisk. Amy needed pictures of the hat being worn so Boo was a very willing volunteer. I do believe that Boo is well on his way to a very lucrative modeling career.

Boo gets hurt
sharp stick from a broken off tree sticking out of the ground
and Boo ran into it. Boo received a three to four in gash in his
chest. Boo had to go to the vet hospital and get the hair shaved
and the wound cleaned. The vet pulled out part of the stick then
cleaned the wound and stapled it closed. Believe it or not Boo can
lick the wound and because of that he has to wear a Bite Not collar
so he does not bite out the staples or irritate the wound. Boo is out
of commission for running in the field for a couple of weeks. Boo is
not very happy about wearing the Bite Not collar.
